Copyright and Administration Internship

The SAMPRA Development Fund has a Copyright and Administration Internship opportunity for one (1) graduate who wants to develop skills and experience in the South African music industry. The successful intern will be placed at Sony Music Publishing Africa‚Äôs Satellite office in Rosebank and must have completed a qualification in Administration and Commerce or related fields with an accredited institution. The successful candidate will get full exposure in the running of a publishing company. The core exposure areas are song data entry and maintenance. The following are key requirements for the prospective intern:

  • A completed qualification in the field of study mentioned above,
  • No work experience,
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal,
  • Knowledge of copyright, contractual law and music publishing administration,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint,
  • Proof of qualification (certified copy of transcript and/or qualification),
  • Should be close or a driving distance to Rosebank
  • A South African, and
  • Passionate about music and positive energy.

All interns will be required to attend company events (some might include Saturdays or evenings).

Please use ‚ÄúCopyright and Administration Internship ‚Ä̬†in the subject line. The internship will be for a period of 12 months at Sony Music Publishing Africa. All placed interns will receive a stipend of R6 500.00 per month.

Should you not hear from us six weeks after the closing date, consider your application as unsuccessful as communication will only be entered into with shortlisted applicants.

Creative and A&R (Artists and Repertoire) Internship

The SAMPRA Development Fund has a Creative and A&R (Artists and Repertoire) Internship opportunity for one (1) graduate who wants to develop skills and experience in the South African music industry. The successful intern will be placed at Sony Music Publishing Africa‚Äôs Satellite office in Rosebank and must have completed a qualification in Public Relations and Marketing or related fields with an accredited institution. The successful candidate will get full exposure in the running of a publishing company. The core exposure areas are Marketing, Public Relations and Artists & Repertoire administration. The following are key requirements for the prospective intern:

  • A completed qualification in the field of study mentioned above,
  • No work experience,
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal,
  • Knowledge of digital media,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps and Mac OSX,
  • Proof of qualification (certified copy of transcript and/or qualification),
  • Should be close or a driving distance to Rosebank
  • A South African, and
  • Passionate about music and positive energy.
