DEPARTMENTAL MISSION
To lead and manage regional infrastructure maintenance services to ensure the availability, reliability and sustainability of all rail infrastructure assets to enable effective train operations (Electrical, Perway, Signaling and Telecommunications systems)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/ Matric
- Degree in the Engineering field (Civil/Electrical/Telecommunications)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- Valid Driver’s license
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
- Development of regional railway infrastructure maintenance plans.
- Support the development and review of Infrastructure policies, procedures standards, technical specifications etc. in line with the business goals and objectives.
- Leadership and management of regional infrastructure operations across the four disciplines.
- Develop infrastructure management processes and systems (Level 4 of Safety, Standards and Training).
- Ensure regional infrastructure operations are compliant with all applicable regulations and philosophies including safety regulations, national Environmental Management Act, National Rail policy, standards & technical specifications etc. and PRASA processes/ procedures.
- Provide technical reports and recommendations to Leadership to inform business decisions.
- Manage human, physical, and financial resources in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
- Establish and manage partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver against the infrastructure needs of the region.
