Internship Programme 2025 / 2026.

Location: 13 km from Carolina, Mpumalanga, South Africa

This internship forms part of Northern Coal’s community outreach and development initiative,
designed to empower graduates and enhance skills in the mining and engineering sectors.


The 2025 / 2026 Internship Programme offers 12-month placements in the following fields:
Mining Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Chemical Engineering

These internships offer graduates valuable on-the-job training, exposure to mining operations,
and mentoring to help establish a professional career path in the mining industry.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be a South African citizen, aged 18–35 years.
Hold a Degree or National Diploma in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
Be unemployed and have no prior full-time work experience in the field.
Reside near the mine (proof of residence required — municipal account or affidavit).

Must pass a certificate of fitness examination as required by the Mine Health and Safety
Act (MHSA).
