The National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA) invites qualified South Africans to apply for the Digital Ambassadors: Ya Rona Digital Programme 2025. This is a six-month contract opportunity offering digital training and skills transfer at selected TVET colleges across South Africa.

Locations: Various TVET College Campuses (Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape, Northern Cape)
Stipend: Monthly stipend (amount not specified)

Eastern Cape

  • Ikhala TVET College (2 posts): Queenstown (Komani), Sterkspruit, Lady Frere, Aliwal North, Ezibeleni
  • King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College (2 posts): Mthatha, Libode, Coffee Bay, Mngazi, Ngcobo, Elliotdale
  • Ingwe TVET College (2 posts): Mount Frere, Mount Fletcher, Maluti, Bizana, Lusikisiki

KwaZulu-Natal

  • Umgungundlovu TVET College (2 posts): Pietermaritzburg, Edendale, Imbali, Msunduzi, Msinga

Western Cape

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and teach basic digital literacy
  • Train community members and organisations
  • Use Learning Management Systems
  • Plan and report on community training sessions
  • Collaborate with municipalities on training venues
  • Submit training plans and progress reports weekly

Minimum Requirements

Latest Article:

Education:

  • Matric
  • National Certificate in IT/Computer Science (NQF 2–4)

Experience:

  • 1–2 years relevant work experience
  • Bilingualism preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Analytical thinking
  • Communication and report writing
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven and attention to detail
