REMUNERATION: R254 316 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM
PURPOSE
Manage the functioning of the flammable liquid and chemical stores to meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan the efficient use of space in the flammable and general stores. Ensure adequate stock levels by placing orders for laboratory consumables timeously. Check expiry dates and rotate stock taken from shelves to issue to staff accordingly. Control access to the flammable and general stores. Receive goods/ supplies into the stores and check the delivery against the purchase order and delivery note. Pack goods/supplies received into shelves according to the material Safety data sheets and compatibility. Request quotations through Supply Chain processes. Create purchase order requisition on SAP and submit them to the Facilities Administrator for processing. Create a reservation on SAP and arrange for the collection of stock. .Capture all items. Ensure cleanliness in the flammable and general stores. Ensure stock is packed correctly. Undertake quality audits according to the Quality Audit schedule.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 (NQF 4) with Maths and Science
- 2 years stores experience
- Exposure having worked in a laboratory / chemical environment
Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, SAP Production, The Periodic Table - Microsoft Office packages
