Requirements:
• Grade 12 / NQF level 6 plus Diploma in Public education or related field.
• Three (3) yers with a community background and administrative knowledge.
• Must have a valid driver.
Primary function: Render administrative support and logical functions regarding public participation & community outreach programs; promotion and awareness of community participation; information sharing, engagement, empowerment and data collection.
Key Performance Areas: Implement and coordinate the approved strategic plan and programs for public participation and community outreach. Ensue related programmes are accessible to all stakeholders. Create opportunities for citizens to becomes active participants. Identify community need and aspirations, assists in facilitating intervention. Create a conducive environment for special interest group lie women, youth, PWDs and the elderly to be engaged. Develop and update a stakeholder database. Management of public involvement in the by-law and policy development review making processes. Ensure that logistical arrangements are done to enable public participation in Council events and programmes. Provide and coordinate civic education events in communities. Facilitate public participation on IDP. Create mechanisms for appropriate communication. Inform communities about public participation policies and relevant legislation for effective and efficient community participation.
Leading Competencies: Project Management, Negotiation,
Core Competencies: Computer Literacy; Communication (verbal and Written); and report writing skills required.
