Annual salary
(Determined according to candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications): R95,004 – R109,907 plus 15% rural allowance

Reporting to : Coordinator – MSM HIV Research Project
Main Purpose of the position:
The purpose of the role is to support the implementation of the transgender and GBMSM health
research project at the highest clinical, research and ethical quality standards.

Scope of Work:
• Coordinate study activities as per protocol under supervision of the study coordinator.
• Recruitment and screening of potential study participants.
• Interviewing study participants and administering participant questionnaires.
• Transcription of participant interviews.
• Manage and maintain security of study data files and source documents.
• Ensuring source documents are completed as per the Study Protocol, study SOPs and GCP
guidelines.
• Collaborate and maintain professional relations with investigators and non-research clinical staff.
Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualification (diploma / degree) in Social or Health Science (essential).
• Certificate in Good Clinical Practice (advantageous).
Working / Industry experience required:
• Minimum 1 year experience supporting the implementation of a community program.
• Experience and exposure to working in the health related, donor funded environment would be advantageous.
• Experience in electronic data management systems would be advantageous.
• Previous key population related experience.
• Previous experience working in a health care environment
Additional requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing Xhosa and English.
• Valid code 08 driver’s license (advantageous).
• Willingness to travel.
