The GPAA does not permit the unauthorised use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) during recruitment assessments. Candidates found using AI-generated responses without acknowledging the source may be disqualified.

For SMS appointments, successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service SMS Pre-entry Programme offered by the National School of Government is compulsory before appointment. Certain SMS candidates may also be required to undergo psychometric assessments.

Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to comprehensive pre-employment screening processes, including:

  • Security clearance and vetting.
  • Qualification and educational verification.
  • Citizenship verification.
  • Financial and asset record checks.

Applicants must comply with vetting requirements in accordance with the Minimum Information Security Standards and relevant DPSA directives.

Successful candidates will be required to sign a Performance Agreement within three months of appointment. Appointments exceeding twelve months will be subject to a twelve-month probation period, excluding approved leave, as prescribed by Public Service Regulations.

Application status updates will be available on the e-Recruitment system. Applicants who have not received feedback within six months after the closing date should consider their applications unsuccessful.
