Job Purpose
Cape Peninsula University of Technology is looking for Assessment Invigilators for all campuses. We are passionate to serve and assist students, who are serious to build a career. We aim to serve and strive to add value to the success of students while they are paving a career path for themselves.
You will work as part of a team of invigilators who will ensure assessments are carried out according to the assessment regulations.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Successful candidates must ascribe to the following:
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12, Senior Certificate, NSC. Post matric qualifications will be advantageous.
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience will be advantageous.
- Excellent physical and mental state of health.
- Be able to walk in the assessment venue for four-hour session, mostly two sessions per day.
- Personal qualities and attributes should include Integrity, Accuracy, Diligence and Punctuality.
- Individuals between the ages of 20 – 64.
- No criminal record.
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Support and monitor students to ensure that there is no malpractice during assessments.
- Ensure that assessment conditions are always adhered to.
- Ensure that the integrity of the assessment is not compromised.
- Set up and prepare the assessment resources for the assessment venues.
- Be available for the duration of the assessments.
- Complete paperwork regarding the collection and return of assessment materials.
- Assist students with queries and needs in the assessment venue.
- Provide support where necessary in an emergency e.g., Sick Student, Fire Evacuation, Disruptions etc.
- Ensure that only relevant students enter the assessment venue.
- Complete a full report after each assessment session.

Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidates
Remuneration: Hourly rate apply.
Successful candidates will be given a 12-month contract
