Job Purpose

Cape Peninsula University of Technology is looking for Assessment Invigilators for all campuses. We are passionate to serve and assist students, who are serious to build a career. We aim to serve and strive to add value to the success of students while they are paving a career path for themselves.

You will work as part of a team of invigilators who will ensure assessments are carried out according to the assessment regulations.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Successful candidates must ascribe to the following:

1. Minimum qualification: Grade 12, Senior Certificate, NSC. Post matric qualifications will be advantageous.
2. 1-2 years’ relevant experience will be advantageous.
3. Excellent physical and mental state of health.
4. Be able to walk in the assessment venue for four-hour session, mostly two sessions per day.
5. Personal qualities and attributes should include Integrity, Accuracy, Diligence and Punctuality.
6. Individuals between the ages of 20 – 64.
7. No criminal record.

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include the following:

1. Support and monitor students to ensure that there is no malpractice during assessments.
2. Ensure that assessment conditions are always adhered to.
3. Ensure that the integrity of the assessment is not compromised.
4. Set up and prepare the assessment resources for the assessment venues.
5. Be available for the duration of the assessments.
6. Complete paperwork regarding the collection and return of assessment materials.
7. Assist students with queries and needs in the assessment venue.
8. Provide support where necessary in an emergency e.g., Sick Student, Fire Evacuation, Disruptions etc.
9. Ensure that only relevant students enter the assessment venue.
10. Complete a full report after each assessment session.

Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidates

Remuneration: Hourly rate apply.

Successful candidates will be given a 12-month contract
