The Technical Artisan Intern is responsible for diligent completion of their logbook within the allocated time and in accordance with their educational institution.
The Technical Artisan will safely assist the discipline Artisan with duties that contribute to their professional development.

Professional Development
- Complete Logbook activities timeously and according to educational institution’s guidelines
- Keep abreast of Netcare Technical Services Procedures
General Maintenance Tasks
- Supervised maintenance low-risk discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance checks
- Supervised general building, plant and machinery maintenance
- Supervised general cleaning and maintenance of Hospital Workshop only.
General Assistance
- Assistance with building and painting
- Assist with minor structural changes in and around the facility
- Moving of doctor’s rooms and associated equipment and furniture
- Assist in putting up and preparing of walls, dry walls and other partitionings.
- Interaction between Technical Department and the rest of the facility.
Teamwork
- Participate in collaborative relationships to help accomplish work goals.
- Actively participate as a member of a team to achieve goals.
SKILLS PROFILE
EDUCATION
Essential
Engineering N6 diploma.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Basic skills with general tools
- Basic hand skills for the purpose of assisting with general maintenance tasks
KNOWLEDGE

- Basic knowledge required for safe work at a hospital facility
- Basic knowledge required for professional conduct
