Office Administrative Assistant
A challenging opportunity is currently available for a top-performing Office Administration Assistant to work in a faith-based NGO in Auckland Park. This position requires a friendly, efficient and energetic candidate, as the successful applicant will have to be proactive, take initiative and make quick decisions. We are looking for someone with the ability to organize and work under pressure and with good people skills.
Overview of responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Welcome visitors to reception, offer refreshments and call the person they are here to see
Monitor and manage telephone calls, e-mails and voicemails
General administration
Printing, copying and collating handouts
Ensuring the office is clean and neat and management of cleaning staff
Control and ordering of provisions and stationery
Management of database – accurate data gathering and capture
Hosting and facilitation of functions
Mailouts of newsletters
Website publishing
Requirements:
Matric
Clear criminal and clear credit record
An administrative qualification or tertiary education would be an advantage
Previous work experience as a receptionist/office assistant
Proficiency in Microsoft Office [Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access]
Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Confident, professional and well presented
Competencies to be demonstrated:

Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and show initiative.
Must be trustworthy
Must have the ability to multi-task
Must demonstrate a willingness to go the extra mile and deliver/exceed expectations [looking for individuals who have been recognised for this behaviour]
Have the ability to establish strong stakeholder relationships
Have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Must be pro-active, reliable and apply good judgement
Should encourage and promote team energy, company values and culture positively;
Have the ability to plan and organise
Have an owner mindset and emotional maturity
