Main purpose of the job:
Capture data accurately and in a timeous manner. Ensure smooth running of the administrative duties, the day-to-day activities.
Location: 7 Esselen Street, Hillbrow, Shandukani CRS

Key performance areas:
Accurately capture and export data on different databases. e.g. Redcap, Medidata. Inform etc
Identify missing data, inconsistencies, and errors and follow up or report on missing data or errors.
Refer administrative support to the Data Manager/Line Manager.
Ensure smooth running of day to day administrative duties.
Resolve data queries and logical checks.
Maintain organized records of al data entry activities
Prepare reports or summaries based on captured data
Liaise with team members to clarify information
Follow instructions from the data management team regarding data handling processes
Quality assures all data related to SOP’s.
Other ad-hoc responsibilities with the nature of the role.
Required minimum education and training:
Grade 12
Computer and excellent typing skills are essential.
Required minimum work experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data entry and administration.
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
Knowledge of Good Clinical practice.
Experience in a health care environment.
Good administrative skills together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database packages.
Demonstrated data capturing speed and accuracy.
Thorough with good attention to detail.
Able to work to deadlines.
Good communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrates effective self-management.
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately

Main purpose of the job:
To transport Agincourt employees to different villages and to collect participants from their households to attend weekend camps; to transport visitors and goods in relation to the Research unit’s work and its requirements.

The MRC/Wits Agincourt Research Unit is an exceptional health and population research centre providing an extensive data resource resulting from years of longitudinal health and socio-demographic surveillance. It currently nests a number of observational and intervention studies- all undertaken with an interdisciplinary network of leading international scientists in the Agincourt sub-district in rural north-east South Africa.
Key performance areas
Keep the vehicle clean and carry out the necessary checks.
Monitor vehicle performance and condition and provide feedback to management on the condition of
the vehicle.
Operate the vehicle with care and consideration to other road users.
Adhere to traffic/road laws and regulations.
Report any vehicle faults, repairs or accidents timeously.
Deliver field staff to defined villages and households in the study sites.
Maintain records of dropping offs and collections.
Collect and drop off field staff safely.
Assist in loading and off-loading study equipment to and from the vehicle.
Complete relevant vehicle usage forms in accordance with policy.
Obey traffic rules.
Required minimum education and training:
Grade 12 Certificate
Valid driver’s license
Required minimum work experience:
1-year experience in a research environment.

Good communication skills- both written and oral, in both English and Xitsonga.

To conduct fieldwork by going into the villages visiting households, collect and
capturing data.

Ensure that CRFs and tracking sheets are completed correctly
Follow GCP guidelines when completing participant visit forms
Address relevant concerns and misconceptions about the study
Write clear chart notes on issues encountered at the field.
Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with participants.
Actively listen to the participants and provide support.
Plan first and second households’ visits.
Identify movers and give feedback to the Supervisor.
Refer all queries and challenges experienced in the field to the Field Supervisor.
Contact and attend to non-attendees.
Collect and dropping of laptops/tablets from the Site Office.
Update maps and ensure that stationery is always available.
Order cover sheets, consent forms and parent demo CRFs.
File all participant forms in alphabetic order and ensure all forms are submitted to the relevant data
capturers.
Required minimum education and training:
Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma or Certificate in Computer Literacy
Required minimum work experience:
1-year experience in a research environment.
