Requirements :

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification. Relevant three year National Diploma or degree qualification in Journalism/Communications will be an added advantage. Computer literacy (MS Office). One year experience in the field of print and digital reporting will be an added advantage. Deliver quality and extensive hospital coverage in digital, print and video products. Ability to innovate and come up with stories and interviews. Editing skills. Understand the developing of media trends, computer knowledge (Software in design, Adobe, Script Writing, Research, Proof Reading, Editing Content Management and project, management). Social media management skills to help grow the audience base. Extensive media contact list. Knowledge of office management environment. Ability to communicate well with people at different level. Ability to organize and plan. Sound oral and written communication skills. Ability to act with tact and discretion. Must be self-motivated. Ability to handle task of multidisciplinary nature. Good customer skills and competencies. Knowledge of various media platforms. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles. Experience on office administration or communication will be added as an advantage. Applicant should be prepared to undergo medical surveillance as an inherent job requirement. The candidate must be prepared to work during weekends, holidays and sometimes under pressure.
Duties :

Identify, compile and edit content of articles for the newsletter. Coordinate activities for events, launches/promotions and any other communication related activities. Ensure a lively presence on social media. To gather intelligence within the organisation to facilitate effective communication through posters and articles. Coordinate the execution of format and the themes of internal article and other internal communication. Cultivate relationship with internal and external clients to ensure fulfilment of their communication needs. Train and develop new content creators. Supervise staff. Compile database of internal and external stakeholders. Maintain an image bank of key stakeholders for media and other related purposes. Optimise the organisation digital medium as the effective flow of information and documents to and from responsibility information. Provide administration support in the Office of the CEO. Ensure safe keeping of all documents in the office. Draft or compile documents as required. Administer the in and out flow of correspondence, agendas, reports, submission, memos and letters. Coordinate and manage meetings, workshops, Attend meetings and training as approved by supervisor. Responsible for PMDS of staff (contracting, quarterly reviews and final assessment).
