Introduction
Vacancies exist for Theatre Stock Controllers at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital, reporting to Casilia Moodley, the Inventory Manager. The successful candidates will contribute to the effective functioning of this unit.Critical Outputs
- Manage and maintain optimal theatre stock levels through effective ordering, receiving, storage, replenishment, and inventory control processes.
- Conduct monthly stock counts, investigate stock variances, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and reduce stock losses.
- Drive formulary compliance initiatives through effective product standardisation, product reviews, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support product evaluations, conversions, and the implementation of approved product changes in collaboration with clinicians, nursing staff, and suppliers.
- Manage consignment and loan stock processes in accordance with company policies and procedures, including assisting with regular stock counts and reconciliation activities with supplier representatives.
- Support accurate billing through item master maintenance, stock utilisation reviews, and follow-up on billing discrepancies
- Build and maintain effective relationships with doctors, nursing staff, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet the operational requirements of the Theatre and Pharmacy departments
- Conduct clerical duties and any other tasks as allocated by the Pharmacy Manager.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Previous Theatre Stock Controller within a healthcare environment is essential.
- SAP experience is essential.
- Consignment stock processes and management experience will be advantageous
- Computer literacy with data analytics is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Responsible and Mature, Team Player, Reliable and trustworthy
- Good interpersonal skills. Customer orientated with a commitment towards continuous improvement.
- Respectful of time and meeting deadlines
- Candidate will need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
