Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities
- Carry out engineering planning activities for specific sections/ departments that optimise sweating of assets ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and reduce total cost of ownership.

Purpose of Job
To conduct risk monitoring during hot work, confined space entry activities as specified on the permit to work, based on the risk mitigations implemented and/or procedural requirement, or at a specified frequency, in order to identify potential changing process conditions.
Key Accountabilities
- Access Controller is responsible for signing in the appropriate space on the permit form and is required to:
- Familiarise himself with the emergency alarm button in the area of the equipment stipulated on the work permit.
- Prevent people from interfering (e.g. closing the access point, stacking equipment in front of the opening) with a safe work environment.
- Stop work and ensure all executors are out of the vessel if environment is deemed unsafe; and inform the permit issuer to make the required ruling if work can continue.
- Familiarise himself with the area emergency siren, stop work and ensure all executors are out of vessel as soon as the alarm sounds.
- Ensure that the confined space entry documentation is completed prior to entry and directly after exit, for each person who enters into any confined space.
- Ensure that the access to a confined space/s is controlled as per risk assessment and is positively barricaded or locked during periods when no work is performed.
- Not leave the specific work place for any reason unless they have been replaced by another competent designated access controller.
- Return the confined space entry documentation to the permit issuer on completion of the task or at the end of each shift.
- During handover inform the relieving access controller of the current conditions.

Purpose of Job
This position is to oversee analytical testing and quality assurance activities supporting upstream production and midstream operations. This role ensures that laboratory services deliver accurate, timely, and compliant results that safeguard product quality, operational reliability, and regulatory compliance. Manage laboratory with its resources and cultivate team collaboration in view of delivering outstanding results. Build effective networks internally and externally to get things done. Build effective relationships upwards, downwards, and sideways. Ensure that legal and commercial processes are complied.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise daily laboratory activities, including sample collection, preparation, and analysis of crude oil, natural gas, condensates, and associated products;
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (ASTM, ISO, API) and company quality protocols;
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and calibration schedules to guarantee accuracy and reliability;
- Oversee implementation of quality control procedures and proficiency testing programs;
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in laboratory operations;
- Prepare and review technical reports, certificates of analysis, and documentation for regulatory audits;
- Provide guidance on advanced analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods;
- Support upstream and midstream operations with laboratory data for process optimization, product blending, and custody transfer;
- Troubleshoot analytical issues and recommend corrective actions;
- Lead and mentor laboratory technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement;
- Drive training programs on laboratory best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies;
- Coordinate with Production, maintenance, engineering, and SHE teams to align laboratory support with business needs;
- User friendly of management systems such as SAP;
- Drive innovation in laboratory processes, automation, and digitalization;
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance data reliability;
- Implement best practices in laboratory management and contribute to corporate technical excellence initiatives;
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred);
- Experience: 6+ years of laboratory experience in oil & gas, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
