ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To perform all artisan functions related to petrochemical plant instrumentation and control
System maintenance, operations support and fault finding.
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
- An ability to read and interpret instrument loop drawings, control logic diagrams, data sheets and
- associated technical documents
- Instrumentation IMS inspections (SHERQ)
- Utilization of and adherence to RCA procedures
- Compliance to the MOC process for changes to existing plant and equipment
- Data extraction and analysis (fault finding, trends etc.)
- Full compliance to section 14 of the OHS act
- A working understanding of the electrical installation regulations (OHS act)
- Full compliance to Aneax task risk assessments, work instructions and working procedures
- Installation, testing and commissioning new/repaired instrumentation installations in accordance with
Aneax specifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
- GR 12 Certificate with Maths, Science and English literacy.
- NQF Level 4 instrument trade test certificate/Red Seal Certificate.
- Drivers license (Code 8)
- EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in operations.
- SAP experience will be an advantage
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- A practical understanding of EX and hazardous area classifications
- A practical understanding of IS and SIL
- QA/QC experience with instrumentation installations
- Shutdown planning and execution experience
- Full compliance to section 14 of the OHS act
- A working understanding of the electrical installation regulations (OHS act)
