| Job Purpose | Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for four suitably qualified and competent individuals to proactively embed the practice of continuous capacitation, development and responsiveness to client service needs in respect of Supply Chain Management for the province. The successful incumbents must have analytical and problem-solving skills. These posts are stationed in Cape Town, CBD. |
| Minimum Requirements | An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification) in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Law; A minimum of 3 years experience as a Procurement and Supply Chain professional. |
| Recommendation | A valid driving license; Experience in the following: Use of business intelligence Tools in procurement analysis; Supplier Development experience. |
| Key Performance Areas | Development and implementation of provincial, Supply Chain Management and Asset Management Policy, Norms and standards; Provide capacity development and knowledge management services to internal and external stakeholders; Monitor, evaluate and enforce compliance to Supply Chain Management and asset management requirements; Provide strategic procurement support services to improve the performance and efficiency of the Supply Chain Management system including value for money and leveraged benefits in the province; Facilitate and arrange transversal contracts for the province. |
| Competencies | Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Asset management legislation and policy framework and experience in providing advice, guidance and support in the implementation thereof; Understanding of the South African marketplace; Research and analysis (report writing) procedures; Written and verbal communication skills. |
| Remuneration | R 376 596 per annum (Salary level 9) Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements. |
