RESOURCE GUARDIANSHIP TERRESTRIAL (NQF 2)

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) invites applications from unemployed candidates to apply for a twelve (12) months Learnership Programme opportunity for the Financial Year 2024/2025.

The programmes integrate practical, theory and includes both structured work experience and structured learning with an accredited training provider – leading to South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) accredited qualification.

The successful applicant will be placed at the below MTPA Nature Reserves:

BASE STATION NO PER STATION DURATION MONTHLY STIPEND

Twelve (12) months R3500.00 per month.

4. Bushbuckridge Nature Reserve X06

8. Mahushe Shongwe Nature Reserve X06

9. Verloren Vallei Nature Reserve X05

10. Nooitgedacht Dam Nature Reserve X06

11. Mdala Nature Reserve X05

12. Mkhombo Dam Nature Reserve X06

13. Mabusa Nature Reserve X06

14. Loskop Dam Nature Reserve X06

15. SS Skhosana Nature Reserve X06

16. Sterkspruit Nature Reserve X06

17. Ohrigstad Nature Reserve X06

QUALIFYING CRITERIA:

Unemployed South Africans between the ages Valid Proof of residence,

of 18 and 35 years, Must be residing in the Mpumalanga Province, Must have Grade 12, Not studying at any tertiary institution, Attach Curiculum Vitae (CV) and ID copy. Not registered for any other learnerships, Must be interested in working outdoors and People with disabilities are encouraged to apply. doing practical work,

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Assisting in the conservation of biodiversity on the reserves and conservation areas, Monitoring and removal of invasive vegetation,

Assist with tasks such as fires, rehabilitation and restoration, infrastructure maintenance, monitoring fauna and flora, plant propagation and administration, Collection of data to best achieve the objectives,

Interacting with community members, residents, business owners and organisations to promote environmental education and awareness ofland involvement in the reserve,

Complete assignments timeously and in relation to practical experience on the reserves, Attend training and learner support sessions.
