Qualification: Matric and related National Diploma in Logistics/Finance/Supply Chain Management or relevant qualification; and Driver’s license.

Experience: At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in an Asset Management/ Supply Chain Management; and 1-2 years’ experience in a SETA environment is advantageous.

Description:

To administer and monitor the complete process relating to processing of asset management, ensuring consistent monitoring of assets as per CATHSSETA’S policies and procedures.

1.   Asset management and monitoring

  • Issue inventories to different business units as per request.
  • Perform periodic asset verification of assets at head office and regional offices within the set deadline.
  • Prepare the assets verification report.
  • Perform inventory count and replenishment of inventory.
  • Place inventory orders.
  • Prepare the yearly assessment of useful life report.
  • Prepare monthly inventory journals.
  • Manage mobile communications accounts:
  • Facilitate ordering of sim cards, mobile and requesting sim swap for lost sim cards; and
  • Resolving mobile communications queries arising from users of the mobile communications contract.
  • Loss management of assets:
  • Facilitate the process of insuring all assets.
  • Coordinate insurance claim processes

2.   Asset Register management in line with GRAP and FAM policy

  • Monthly review the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Record acquired assets into the fixed asset register after receipt of invoice from supplier.
  • Reconcile asset registers to the General ledger and Trial Balance on a monthly basis.
  • Perform assets impairment tests annually.

3.    Preparation of monthly depreciation journals

  • Perform depreciation calculations monthly and maintain that the ledger is updated accordingly with the depreciation journals.

4.       Fleet Management and monthly reporting

  • Prepare monthly nedfleet journals.
  • Renew the annual licenses of the fleet vehicles.
  • Coordinate that the pool vehicles are serviced annually.

5.   Implementation of relevant systems, policies and governance process

  • Process all documentation according to CATHSSETA policies and procedures as well as document control principles, within specified set time frames to ensure compliance.
  • Verify that the submitted documents are aligned with CATHSSETA’s standards and policies.
  • Support and provide evidence for all internal and external audit requirements.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.
