The ARC seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic person to the following position(s) at Animal Production (ARC-AP), Irene, Pretoria.
Job Description
Asset Control;
- Keep a record of quarterly asset count and recording of new assets.
- Asset safeguarding.
- Determine the safety of all assets.
Asset Safeguarding;
- Determine the safety of all assets monthly.
- Regular inspections to check safety in buildings.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS);
- Do follow up on all OHS decisions.
- Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
Ad hoc;
- Management “counts, verifies, and identifies” all capital assets.
- Ensure compliance with ARC policies, asset management Acts and Policies, i.e., receiving and barcoding of the new assets.
- Monthly asset verification and disposals.
- Update and reconcile the inventory control sheet by agreeing with the fixed asset register.
- Update the fixed asset register on the system with relevant information.
- Compile the list of disposable assets that are not usable.
- Assist in any other asset-related duties.
- Ensure documents are properly filed and stored in a safe place.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet all set deadlines related to assets.

Job Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with accounting as a major subject.
- Diploma in Logistics or related filed will be an added advantage.
- 2 to 3 years relevant job experience.
- Knowledge of administrative processes.
- Proficiency in Ms Office suite.
- Driver’s license Code 8 or 10 will be an added advantage.
- Adhere to OHS Regulations.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perform routine work.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
