The ARC seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic person to the following position(s) at ARC-SG Bethlehem

Job Description
  • Tractor driver and combine harvester.
  • Sprayer driver.
  • Adheres to work plans.
  • Utilises equipment and materials.
  • Provides research support, diagnostics, and other services.
  • Collects data under supervision.
  • Provides verbal feedback on work activities to supervisors.
  • Adheres to quality standards.
  • Complies with SHE/OHS regulations and procedures.
Job Requirements
  • Grade 12 with 3 years relevant experience in Truck driving/Tractor Driving.
  • Truck/Tractor driver and Combine harvester experience.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good interpersonal relations skills.
  • Valid South African driver’s license.

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic person to the following position at Tropical & Subtropical Crops (ARC-TSC) Addo, Eastern-Cape.

Job Description
  • General building maintenance such as plumbing, bricklaying, plastering, painting and any related electrical work.
  • Installing of new equipment.
  • Assist with any admin requests within the unit.
  • Adhere to OHS regulations.
  • Ability to perform routine work.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements
  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in wide range of artisan work.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Plumbing or Electrical will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Good communication and Planning skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
