GENERAL WORKER (AFRIMAT AGGREGATE OPERATIONS DENVER QUARRY – GQEBERHA)

Afrimat Aggregate Operations Denver Quarry – Gqeberha has a vacancy for:

General Worker

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Grade 9 but Grade 12 will be advantageous
Be literate and functionally numerate
Pre-employment medical required
Ability to stand for long periods;
Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
Assist with manual labour and plant maintenance

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that the plant is cleaned regularly and as when required
Assist with general maintenance tasks on and around the plant
Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area i.e. cleaning of screens, etc.
Carry out other instructions given by your superior
Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor
Adhere to all SHE rules and regulations that are applicable on the site
Acknowledge that Management reserves the right to allocate additional tasks when for wherever reason the task cannot be completed on standard allocated job
Be willing to work overtime and weekends as and when required.
Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.

The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
