The National Research Foundation (NRF) supports and promotes research and human capital development through funding, the provision of National Research Facilities and science outreach platforms and programmes to the broader community in all fields of science and technology, including natural science , engineering, social science and humanities.
The Research Innovation Support and Advancement (RISA) is a multi-disciplinary funding division of the NRF that supports, promote, and advance the creation of knowledge and innovation, through research funding, human capacity development funding, and research infrastructure funding.
The Knowledge Advancement & Support (KAS) directorate contributes to the promotion and support of research by facilitating the advancement of the frontiers of existing and development of new fields of knowledge, and the necessary associated research capacity in the context of national research, developmental challenges and strategic initiatives.
The Knowledge Advancement & Support (KAS) directorate seeks to appoint Administrative Assistant whose key responsibilities will include:-
Purpose:
Assist in the implementation of the programmes, initiatives, and activities led by Global Change Director and KAS Executive Director.
Drive the process of development and implementation of the following Global Change Plans
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively support the implementation of the activities of the unit, and provide administrative support
Coordinate meetings and workshops, including minute-taking, summaries, and documentation at selected meetings, and assist with
selected marketing activities of Global Change.
Update a database of engagements in support of a knowledge management system.
Coordinate Global Change Initiatives and events.
Key Requirements:
Qualification:
Bachelors degree
Two (3) years experience
Experience:
Knowledge of MS Office products particularly Word, Excel and MS Outlook
Ability to work independently and as part of the team
High level of accuracy and attention to details
Knowledge:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
