APPOINTMENT TYPEFixed Term Contract – 6 months

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

To ensure offices and equipment are kept neat, tidy and clean at all times.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 10 or RPL considered
  • Minimum of two (2) years previous cleaning experience

  • Minimum literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and cleaning methodologies.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance

  • Include compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
  • Specify proper use of PPE.
  • Require safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Include incident and hazard reporting responsibilities.

Cleaning Standards

  • Adhere to cleanliness standards and quality requirements.
  • Include adherence to approved cleaning procedures and schedules.
  • Conduct inspection regularly

Equipment Accountability

  • Ensure proper use, care and storage of equipment.
  • Require reporting of damaged or faulty equipment.
  • Include responsibility for preventing misuse and loss.

Consumables and Stock Control

  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies.
  • Report shortages proactively.
  • Minimise wastage and misuse of consumables.

Reporting and Communication

  • Always observe the reporting lines and supervisory relationships.
  • Require reporting of maintenance defects, safety concerns and service issues.
  • Maintain daily cleaning records and checklists.

Customer Service Responsibilities

  • Promote professional conduct when interacting with tenants, visitors and employees.
  • Respond courteously to cleaning requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality while working in occupied areas.

Performance Management and KPIs

  • Cleaning quality audit scores.
  • Attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with cleaning schedules.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Health and safety compliance.

Physical and Operational Requirements

  • Include flexibility to work shifts, weekends or public holidays if required.

Sustainability and Environmental Practices

  • Promote environmentally responsible cleaning practices.
  • Encourage waste segregation and recycling.
  • Ensure efficient use of water and cleaning chemicals.
