Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Work Integrated Learning (WIL) 2025/27

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) invites unemployed South African
graduates and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) students to apply for the 2025/26 – 2026/27
Graduate Internship and WIL Programme. This opportunity offers structured workplace exposure,
skills development, and training across multiple branches of the DHET.

Closing Date: 29 August 2025 (15h00)
Location: Pretoria Head Office, Olifantsfontein, Regional Offices, and various DHET sites nationwide
Stipend: R7 860.40 per month (Graduate Interns) and R6 659.40 per month (WIL Students)
Contract Duration: 24 months

About the DHET Internship Programme
The programme is aimed at providing workplace experience to graduates and WIL students in their
fields of study.

Applicants must:
Be unemployed and never participated in an internship programme within the Public Service.
Be South African citizens.
Be aged between 18–35 years.
All appointments will be subject to qualification verification, reference checks, citizenship
confirmation, and security vetting.
