To co-ordinate and ensure the effective and efficient dispatching of products as per customer requirements, planning of vehicles, the control of documentation of products loaded thereby contributing to customer satisfaction and the achievement of company objectives.

Job Description

PURPOSE

To co-ordinate and ensure the effective and efficient dispatching of products as per customer requirements, planning of vehicles, the control of documentation of products loaded thereby contributing to customer satisfaction and the achievement of company objectives.

SPAN OF CONTROL

This role is accountable for all tasks assigned to them by the manager of the department, working synergistically with other team members.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTPUTS

• Loading of all orders into relevant trucks/trailers and export containers
• Driving of forklift and loading of product into truck, trailer, and export containers
• Generate picklists and delivery notes
• Check packaging of all material to be despatched
• Maintain service levels and always follow procedures
• Verify all information on picklists and delivery documents are correct
• Ad-hoc responsibilities where necessary
• Create warehouse transfers for Tile Line
• Report any discrepancies to the Outbound Manager
• Ensure all loading equipment is functional Safety, Health, Environment – We Tread Softly 
• Report all safety hazards, incidents and near misses
• Ensure housekeeping is kept to 5S standards.

• Matric / Grade 12
• Minimum 2 years previous experience in a despatch /warehouse environment
• Team player / experience working within a team

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Computer Literate on ERP systems
• Valid Forklift License
• CTFL Learnership is preferrable 
• Minimum 2 years relevant logistics and warehouse experience in a similar role within a relevant industry.
