Job Advert Summary	Rand Water is looking for a candidate who will be responsible in assisting the artisan bricklayer with construction of brickwork and general preparation work.
Minimum Requirements	• Grade 12 or equivalent. • 1 year experience in a similar environment. • Basic bricklaying experience desirable. • Code 14 driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 driving test, will serve as an added advantage. • Safety Training. • Preference will be given to applicants with disabilities NB: An assessment in driving will form part of selection criteria.
Primary Duties	• Loads material onto truck/trailer to take to work site. • Prepares cement mixture for the job using shovel and or cement mixer machine. • Passes tools and assists the bricklayer to lay bricks in the building of chambers, slabs, walls and setting of window and door frames. • Conducts minor excavation work. • Cleans all tools, machinery, equipment and returns them to workshop. • Cleans bricklayer truck. • Uses appropriate tools such as jack hammers, hammers and chisels to demolish old civil structure. Assists with the building of scaffolds to reach elevated areas
