Job Advert Summary
To implement and maintain an effective Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management system according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards and all legal and other requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• National Diploma in SHEQ Management and or technical engineering equivalent
• SAMTRAC, MEM (or equivalent), MSM (or equivalent), quality management certificate
• Efficient computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets)
• 3 years’ practical experience in SHEQ in project environment
• Good knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 standards & systems
• Proof of relevant prior learning through Rand Water’s Development Programmes or SACPCMP registration
  equivalent will be an advantage
  Valid Code 08 driver’s license

Primary Duties

• Ensuring compliance with OHS Act and associated regulations, Rand Water SHEQ compliance manual, Environmental Legislation and ISO standards
• Achieve and maintain corporate goals (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 9001 certification and safety targets as set by Rand Water)
• Identify and mitigate risks through assessments, inspections, audits as well as corrective interventions.
• Ensure contractor control during the whole project cycle
• Manage Safety, Health, and Environmental and Quality budget successfully
• Motivating site management and staff to support SHEQ initiatives
• Assisting site certification on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Timeous identification, reporting and action taken on deviations from set standards to achieve continual improvement
• Ensuring internal audits are done timeously and desired results (zero repeat audit findings) achieved
• Ensure plan of actions are created after all audits & findings are closed out before next audits are undertaken
• Ensure incidents are investigated and Root causes identified and appropriate corrective measure are put in place and carry follow-up to ensure they effective

Knowledge

• Knowledge of Environmental & Occupational Health & Safety legislation/law course
• Auditing – ISO 14001, ISO 9001 & ISO 45001/ & ISO 19025
• Implementation and evaluation of ISO standards (requirements and auditing).
• Integration (ISO 14001, ISO 9001 & ISO 4500)
• Good knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.
• Practical SHEQ Auditing skills and knowledge essential.
