MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To perform maintenance on buildings and equipment, and ensure that assets are in good working order and upheld to their original state

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Perform jobs as per completed job cards
Provide administrative support to the office
Mitigate risk factors and comply with standards
Accompany on-site contractors

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

Grade 10 / equivalent technical vocational qualification
Basic Technical Assistant Training (Mediclinic) or any other related technical training

DESIRED EDUCATION:

Grade 12
Code B driver’s licence

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in building maintenance and repair
Experience in carpentry, plumbing and general electrical fittings
Special focus on electrical maintenance and repair
Special focus on mechanical maintenance and repair
Special focus on civil/ plumbing maintenance and repair
Special focus on air-conditioning maintenance and repair

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
Ability to read layout plans and diagrams
Ability to fix general electrical equipment
Knowledge and demonstration of solving plumbing related issues
