Requirements :

• o Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate with 5 years’ Experience in Food Service Department in a hospital setting. o Knowledge of Human Nutrition hygiene and safety procedures o Knowledge and understanding of production processes and Human Nutrition rendered o knowledge Human Nutrition hygiene and Safety Procedures. o Knowledge of food service equipment (name, operation, uses and care) o Literacy with special focus on Numerical (e.g. basic calculations & knowledge of decimals , measures ,etc. ) o Good reading and writing skills.(interpersonal &verbal report etc.) o Must be able to work shifts, public holidays and be able to work under pressure. o The incumbent must have problem solving skills and awareness of Batho Pele principle.

Duties :

• o Monitoring pre-preparing and preparations of meals and whole general cleaning of kitchen o Receiving of food product from suppliers and chemicals receiving ,storing issuing from supervisor and all provisions delivered according to Procurement and set guidelines. Signing stock and consumption and other relevant papers. o Responsible for portion control in dishing up areas according to prescribed portions in a recipe o Responsible for own areas orders ,storage areas receiving and control of stock and assist with the application of control measures. o Responsible for safekeeping and ensuring that faulty equipment’s are reported immediately o performing of assigned functions duties o Handling of keys ensure that all storage areas are efficiently cleaned and locked at all the times along with accompanying responsibilities o Update and maintain inventory reports and controls assistance with inventory counting o Attend performance training and staff development o Conduct PMDS assessment o Relevant administrative duties as per job description o Follow all food service procedures and policies given by food service management .
