Position Purpose:
Maintain stock shelves and retrieve stock to fulfil orders
Safe put-away to facilitate identification ad cycle counting

Timeous fulfilment of picking and/or packing lists
Performs cycle counting and stock counts in line with set procedures
Clears production area by securing and moving finished pallets; moving empty pallets
Keeps forklift operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing
preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
Maintains safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with legal
regulations
Plans supply and material requirements by studying production schedule; scheduling deliveries to production area
Position outputs:
Check picking and packing list for accuracy and conduct visual inspection of goods
Ensure that issuing of materials is conducted accurately in a timeous manner
Identify discrepancies between physical stock and picking list (e.g. quantity, location)
Ensure accurate recording and reporting
Loading and off loading of material, and deliver material to workshop
Identify defective materials and report them
Inspect containers and products to ensure packing specifications are met
Mark and label containers and products for ease of identification
Deliver material to production, and ensure a proper line side presentation
Follows all safety rules
Utilisation of MHE (forklift, crane, etc) to pick/pack material and line side deliveries
Signs out equipment daily on release form
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Standard 10/Grade 12
Literacy and Numeracy
6 Months experience in warehouse operations
Appropriate MHE license
Competencies:
