(Position based in NPC, Pretoria)
Reports to Head HR Operations
Summation To ensure that Postbank payroll is run according to best practise and in line with legislation.
Furthermore ensure that employees are paid on time and accurately

Key Responsibilities
• Processing the relevant payrolls and maintaining related records
• Ensure timeous submission of all payroll information to outsourced payroll partner
• Responsible for HR and Payroll Administration
• Preparation of accounting transactions and documents, and proper record keeping of these documents
• First point of contact for any payroll-related queries
• Administer medical aid applications, liaison with pension fund and recognised medical aids
• Preparation of special reports for management
• Responsible for daily operations and activities of the payroll
• Responsible for the internal management of the payroll and ensuring the employee’s details are accurate
and up to date
• Capturing new employee details/ appointments
• Check and verify all type of exits – Resignation, dismissals, retirement, ill-health and demise before
arranging benefit payments with the administrator
• Responsible for the verification of employee administration matters, including appointments,
absenteeism, overtime and allowance, issuing of long-service certificates, subsistence and travelling
expenses and advances
• Payroll Reporting including variances and verification of employees on payroll
• Rectify rejected salaries for final payroll.
• Filing tax reports and other statutory payments

Skills & Attributes

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications: Relevant diploma (NQF 6)/degree (NQF7), (Human Resources Management, Financial)
Experience: Must have minimum 5 years’ experience with running large complex payrolls
Knowledge and understanding of:
• Advanced knowledge of Payroll Systems and ESS System
• Computer literate (MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook)
• Must have knowledge of shift permutations and overtime calculations
• Excellent knowledge of payroll and legislative requirements
• Good understanding of medical aids and pension funds
• SARS experience (submission of statutory documents and information)
• Strong technical financial knowledge
