Role Summary and key work output and accountabilities

The Receptionist has exceptional interpersonal communication skills and is
the often the first point of contact to the visitors and patients of the Clinic.
The Receptionist is responsible for the complete admissions process and
handling of associated queries with various stakeholders.

As a receptionist, you are required to be a Brand Ambassador by providing
the best and safest person-centered quality customer service whilst living
our values of CARE, TRUTH, PARTICIPTION, COMPASSION and DIGNITY. The
incumbent will be required to provide quality customer services aligned to
the overall business strategy, which is inclusive of administrative,
switchboard, billing and pay point responsibilities.
A detailed job description will be discussed with successful candidates.

Inherent Requirements
Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
Higher certificate – NQF level 5.
Previous reception experience (minimum 1 – 2 years) in hospital/clinic environment.
Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel).
Knowledge of Medical Schemes.

Receptionist – Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital

Role summary
The incumbent will be responsible for promote improved operational performance and patient care
experience through quality delivery of services and patient interaction, by subscribing to the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Engage relevant stakeholders to ensure that operational efficiencies are
coordinated to improve patient outcomes

Key work output and accountabilities

 Attend to all patients, doctors and visitors needs within the professional and legislative boundaries
provided.
 Responsible for the preparation of the reception area and doctors rooms for each working day before
and after the consults. Have all front desk activities fully operation at the start of business hours.
 Assist patients to accurately complete appropriate forms and documents for the required information.
 Capture admission and discharge information of patients in a professional, friendly and timorous
manner, focusing on patient, visitor and doctor needs.
 Identify financial risks pro-actively and communicate these to the patient and internal risk chain as per
protocol
 Collect payments according to protocols and prepare financial registers daily, accountable for receipting functions as per policy.
 Handle and manage the continuous flow of information between doctor’s rooms, patient, medical
schemes, MHC’s and other service providers.
 Maintain administrative records on the system and report statistics monthly when required.
 General administration as will be required from time to time.
 Make bed bookings and have ability to handle difficult customers

Education
 Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification

Work experience
 Previous reception experience, preferably in a hospital environment is an advantage.
 SAP ISH experience will be an advantage

Knowledge
 Good general knowledge and understanding of legislation pertaining to the specific business environment
 Computer Literate

Ward Administrator – Love ward

Role title Ward Administrator – Love ward

ROLE SUMMARY
The incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial and administration work in the ward.
The Ward Administrator is also responsible for receiving all new patients, visitors, and doctors in the ward and to make them feel welcome.
The incumbent is further responsible for assisting in maintaining stock levels in the ward and should
work closely with the allocated stock controller.
The incumbent will further be required to assist the ward staff and the Unit Manager with assigned duties.

EDUCATION

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification

Business Administration and / or Secretarial Qualification

WORK EXPERIENCE

2-3 years’ experience in administration position

Knowledge of SAP IS-H is advantageous
