REMUNEATION: R19 574 – R24 031 – R28 115 (Basic salary per month)

PURPOSE

Reduce unaccounted for water with the emphasis on commercial losses by executing commercial loss projects such as analysing water meters surveys to ensure that the billing thereof is correct.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that decisions taken for each project is in line with the process and procedure for that project. Plan the time to be spent on each component of the finalization process e.g. check and to ensure that deadlines to finalized surveys are met. Analyse the surveyed data against a variety of computer programmes e.g. SAP, Access etc. to establish the accuracy of the field data and the billed data. Ensure that the surveyed data is for the correct stand and that the information supplied will enable the meter readers to find and read the meter. Identify illegal connections and submit it to the person within Commercial Loss responsible for handling illegal connections. Update the database (survey record) with the coding resulting from the above analysis-finalize the survey. Keep a spreadsheet on re-done that are requested. Follow up on outstanding re-done and escalate problems to supervisor. Maintain a proper filing system for all surveys-99 percentage accuracy.    

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Grade 12 (NQF 4), 3 years meter reading of which 1 year must be in an investigating/auditing capacity of which at least;
  • 1 year customer liaison experience linked to  meters/ billing, and
  • 1 year data capturing experience
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience in using GIS
