Overview
The Intern: Financial Compliance will contribute towards the efficient co-ordination of financial management in the organization. The Intern reports to the Assistant Manager: Assets & Financial Administration.
Responsibilities/Duties
General administrative duties:
- Record, organize, store, capture and retrieve correspondence and data;
- Receive Procurement documentation, check and liaise with local offices to correct & resubmit;
- Responding to queries;
- Record statistics of monthly work undertaken;
- Compilation and distribution of documents/packages to various stakeholders as required;
- Keep and maintain the filing system for the office;
- Receive Travel Claim documentation, check and liaise with local offices to correct and resubmit.
- Manage stationery requirements; Assets Annual Review & disposal administration;
- Answer incoming calls & transfer to applicable person & record and convey messages;
- Courier bookings & tracking.
Requirements
- Applicants must have completed and be in possession of Matric / N3 certificate and a tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Finance/ Financial Management, Accounting or Economics (a post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage) with no experience.
- The candidate must possess good communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- He/ she must be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and possess the following attributes: ability to work under pressure; be prepared to work long hours; pro-active; decisive; confident and be service driven.
