
Position Creditors Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Finance Accounts
Grade: Peromnes Grade 12
REQUIREMENTS
Job purpose :
It is the responsibility of the Creditors Clerk to maintain, accounts payable JDE Modules. All duties are to be performed in accordance with uShaka Marine World policies, practices and procedure.
Qualifications, Experience:
Matric
Three years financial qualification
2 – 4 years Creditor Experience
Internal Applicants that have successfully completed a Durban Marine Theme Park talent management programme and display the necessary competence for the position will also be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Complies, sorts and verifies all incoming documents and substantiates validity of all business transactions.
Processes invoices, verifies documentation, coding and discounts using the JDE system.
Ensure and verifies the nature of expenditure in relation to the GL cost code utilsed
Ensure that suppliers are paid within a specified time in accordance with the Municipal Financial Management Act
Maintains an appropriate filing system of all documents, records and reports associated with assigned accounting function.
Keeps accountant and finance manager informed of all pertinent information regarding assigned accounting duties and any irregularities.
Reconciles creditor statements through to creditors’ ledger in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensures all monthly accruals are accounted for.
Balances all assigned balance sheet accounts, monthly reconciliations and (records) any journal entries that may be needed at month end.
Validate all purchases or services rendered by service providers through line departments.
Resolves all creditors queries timely.
Reconcile purchases from main accounting system to subsystem.
Performs any other related duties as requested.
