TASK Grade 9 (R269 436 – R374 592 per annum)

(Basic salary only, excluding benefits) 

Qualifications and experience required: 

  • Relevant trade certificate.
  • A valid code EB Drivers’ Licence.
  • One to two years’ experience. 

Key attributes and competencies:

  • Ability to give attention to detail.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial skills.
  • Incumbent must have report-writing skills.
  • The incumbent must be physically fit and able bodied.
  • The incumbent must have the ability to work independently and under pressure. 

Special conditions:

  • The incumbent must be willing to work after hours on occasions.
  • As part of the selection process, the recommended candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination. 

Job purpose: 

Performs on-site tasks and activities associated with the mentoring, quality control and monitoring of building construction activities entered into by the housing delivery branch. Providing data for generating reports detailing the status of the building construction / projects initiating payments and/or recommending cancellation of contract/s due to poor workmanship as appropriate. 

As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, a medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
