Job Advert Summary• To provide a vital driver/courier service in the business of the organisation, by collecting and delivering postal items/parcels at the required deadlines
Minimum Requirements• Grade 12 • 5 years’ experience as a driver • Certificate in Records Management • Computer literacy; with a working knowledge of MS Office will be an added advantage • Valid Driver’s license and ability to pass driving competency assessment by the Transport Department at Central Department
Primary Duties• Distributes information, documents, and small packages for business • Sorts, maintains and delivers items within a limited geographic area and keeps records thereof • Acts as part of an organization’s internal and external mail system • Liaises with internal/external stakeholders in relation to items distributed/received • Conducts pre/post trip vehicle inspections and maintains a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle • Assists with maintenance of Records Control Systems and automation of records
Knowledge• Basic Records Management • Routes and map of Gauteng Province • Use of vehicle log books • Road Traffic Safety and Regulations • Basic understanding of labour legislation • Basic mechanical knowledge of the vehicle
