About the Position

HR Officer (Temp) Human Resource Operations is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for day to day HR administration on SAP and with external service providers including new appointments, internal appointments, restructuring, transfers, re-grading, salary adjustments, terminations, deaths, welfare services, long service awards, leave and other HR Projects. The incumbent will also interface with line management and finance team to ensure relevant documentation is recorded and submitted to ensure the correct processing of employee benefits and salaries.

Education and Experience:

  • Relevant 3 years tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2-3-year relevant experience in Human Resources
  • Good knowledge of all relevant labour legislation
  • Advanced skill competency with SAP R/3 Payroll, HR Admin, Time, Org Management, Reporting and MS word, Excel, Electronic Mail, PowerPoint
  • Experience in Payroll will be an added advantage

The job responsibilities include the following:

  • Handle all administration with regard to new appointment, internal appointments, restructuring, transfers, re-grading, salary adjustments, terminations, deaths, welfare services, long service awards, leave and general administrative duties
  • Load, update and maintain all the above-mentioned tasks onto the SAP R/3 system
  • Handle personnel inquiries / queries (such as registration, exits, disability and death benefits dispersions of both medical aid and pension/provident fund)
  • Maintain all personnel files
  • Monitor and implement stop orders for personal loans
  • Provide advice on policy and procedures and handle salary related queries
  • Do headcount, Employment Equity and any ad-hoc reports
  • Arrangement and coordination of staff functions.
