Package R 257 508.00 – R 303 339.00 per annum (plus benefits)
Degree/Diploma in Public Finance/Accounting/Financial Management with a minimum of three (3) or more years relevant experience in Public Service Finance Department. Grade 12 with a minimum of five (5) or more years’ experience in Public Service Finance Department. Knowledge in Transport Management.
Extensive Knowledge of financial policies as guided by Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Transport policy. Knowledge of finance systems: i.e. SAP, BAS etc. Be able to Plan and organise, problem solving and communication skills (Verbal and written). Computer literate. A valid driver’s license.
Implement PFMA and Treasury regulations, distribution of funds in standard items at the beginning of the financial year as approved by the Central Office. Manage and render financial accounting, receive invoices, check invoices for correctness, process invoices and Filing the documents. Monitor and control expenditure.
Perform Salary Administration- BAS/PERSAL reconciliations. Clear suspense account, record debtors and creditors, compile journals and verify the compilation. Compilation of quarterly/ monthly reports. Identify variances capture and allocate virements on budget. Capture cost center reports. Manage the receipt and capturing of cash Payments. Control and Monitor petty cash. Control vehicle fleet: Carryout vehicle inspections. Capturing of sheet returns. Arrange for repairs and vehicles servicing.
Ensure that log sheet is controlled and completed for all officials’ trips. Reporting misuse of GG vehicles. Educate Officials on the utilization of GG vehicles. Keep vehicles maintenance requirements scheduled and coordinate maintenance requirements. Assist with monitoring of service level agreement. Monitor compliance to transport policy and advice accordingly. Vehicles incidence/accidents report and traffic fines. Manage employee’s performance evaluations (PMDS) and Supervise junior staff.
