Job PurposeThe Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government has an exciting employment opportunity for a competent individual to render an administrative support to the Directorate by ensuring the administrative assistance and the collating, capturing and compliance of information and data management processes of law enforcement statistics in the development of new strategies and innovative technological models to improve service delivery and to provide reliable and meaningful information and data. This post is stationed in Cape Town.
Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
RecommendationAdministrative experience in an information and data management or similar environment.
Key Performance AreasAsset/Inventory Control; Data management by collecting, capturing and collating of traffic law enforcement information and data to ensure data integrity and quality control standards are met; Registry functions and record keeping; General administrative function, processing of statistics and loss/asset control; Provide a professional information support service; Assist with the management of hardware and software utilised to obtain law enforcement information and data
CompetenciesGood understanding of the following: Departmental prescripts and policies; General administrative functions; Basic report writing skills; Proven computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Communication (written and verbal) skills; Planning and organisation skills; Basic numeracy skills; Willingness to work irregular hours.
RemunerationR 173 703 per annum (Salary Level 5) Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
