Job Advert SummaryRand Water is currently looking for an Education and Development Practitioner to manage and administer internal and external bursaries according to Rand Water standards as well as manage and control all Capacity Building Community Programs like career expos.
Minimum Requirements• An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field • ODETP NQF Level 5 • At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience/highly administrative environment • Ability to travel to as and when required
Primary DutiesManage and implement Internal and External Bursary policies and procedures. Compile, manage and control budget, as well as forecasting where necessary. Facilitate the attraction and selection of potential applicants for all external bursaries for Rand Water. Prepare and monitor contracts for all external bursars. Partner with the Talent Management team to ensure that external bursaries awarded addresses Capacity Building pipelines. Design and control “vocational” training program for external bursars. Work in partnership with the SDF to provide learner support programs like Experiential Training Programme, Induction Programme and mentoring Programmes. Prepare quarterly Internal and External Bursary reports/Monitoring and evaluation. Coordinate and conduct campus visits twice a year. Manage and control internal bursary end-to-end process. Work in partnership with Education, Training and Development Practitioners to advise employees on the correct qualification and institution choices. Prepare cheque requisitions for internal bursaries and submit to Accounts Department for payments. Prepare proof of payment reports for ETDPs. Capture the bursaries on the Learning Management System and run monthly expenditure reports on Skills Development. Plan and coordinate Career Expositions in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications team.
