ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER – REF: EO-JW347/2020

REMUNERATION: R270 888 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM
PURPOSE
Monitor and ensure compliance with the National Environmental Manager Act, National Water Act, Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations and Johannesburg Water Environmental Management System and other applicable legislations and standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct site specific risk assessments for all environment related activities within the Company. Ensure that contractors have necessary documentations prior construction. Conduct Systems audits on all Johannesburg Water construction sites and depots quarterly. Conduct environmental awareness on new workers appointed contractors. Record all incidents occurred. Attend projects planning, design meetings as and when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
• National Diploma (NQF6) in any of the following
• Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Health Safety Management
• 2 years experience in Environmental Science/ Environmental Management/Safety Health and Environmental Management field.
• Valid Driver’s License – Code B
